THE ‘ThePhotoTravelBlog’ STORY
In order to brief you about the story of this blog, let me start by telling you as to why I chose this name and maybe then, through this little story of mine you will have a fair idea of me as well.
PHOTO:
I have a habit of exploring new cafes/places during weekends. And on one such day back in 2019 I visited a tiny beautiful cafe in the heart of the city that I belong to. As I was just wandering through the corridors of the cafe while waiting for my turn, my gaze fell on the colourful informational posters pinned to each side of the same corridor. On randomly scanning them I found that the cafe was just a tip of what the place has to offer. It was actually a cultural arts complex and an educational centre. There were courses in arts, music, dance and photography that were being offered in there. In the days to come I got myself enrolled in its photography course. And that’s how I picked up a camera for the first time. That is exactly how the word ‘Photo’ forms a part name of the blog.
TRAVEL:
There are two reasons why the blog title has the world ‘Travel’. The first reason is the obvious one, as this blog is related to travel experiences so I guess I was somehow bound to use this word. The second reason is that I think that each and every soul that walks this planet is a born traveller. Inside each one of us, I believe, is a unique travel story, waiting to be told. And taking a cue from this belief of mine, I love to be known as a traveller and hence the word ‘Travel’.
BLOG:
Early on in my life I had realised that I wanted to become a writer. But God had other plans! Later on in my life I realised, that I can be a writer almost in anything. I need not have a college degree for that. So, through this blog when I realised an opportunity to express myself I felt I finally had found my way of connecting to the people through the medium. And naturally, as ‘Blog’ was the medium, it also became the part name of the entire name.
It is the amalgamation of the above elements as a whole that gave birth to ‘The Photo Travel Blog’ .
MY STORY
Hello Wonderful Readers,
I am Aditi,
I come from a beautiful, colourful country India. I am based in Delhi and I have an engineering degree.
‘The Photo Travel Blog’ happened to me when I was trying to get out of a 9-5 Job. The journey from ‘working for IT companies’ to ‘writing a blog’ was a wavy course. And it took me 9 years to muster enough courage to ACTUALLY start a blog.
Like many other artists out there, I never had any plans to work in a regular job. Rather, I wanted to ‘grant my heart freedom’ that working for somebody seldom provides.
This whole wide world is my muse. Through this blog I wish to capture the soul of a place.
When I am not working on my dreams or for the IT, you may find me pampering myself with mouthwatering delicacies, planning for new trips or lost in the pages of a good book.
